Every aspect of the chassis is designed to promote great handling and control in a wide range of real-world riding conditions, and to place priority on comfort and minimizing fatigue on long rides, even when carrying a passenger and loaded with gear.
At its core, the strong steel frame provides excellent straight-line stability, contributes to nimble handling and performs well at highway speeds, while at the same time featuring the right amount of flex to help maximize comfort on long rides or when passing over rural trails.
In developing the styling for the new V-STROM 800DE, Suzukis design team set their goal as follows. The design must carry on the tradition of the V-STROM series. At the same time, it must convey a thoroughly modern look in line with current trends, while breaking new ground that puts it ahead of the pack. And it must reflect the all-round capabilities of the product.
Following current trends, the lines of the body work are sharper with flatter surfaces to create a tough yet sophisticated look. Bold accents are introduced through the use of molded colour parts at the tip of the prominent beak out front and below the fuel tank. And angled lines set in<>to the knee grip area of the moulded panel below the fuel tank lend yet another subtle accent.
