The goal in creating the all-new Hornet ADV is to offer serious adventure riders the perfect helmet for every kilometre of their journey. From city streets to the Birdsville track, the new Hornet Adventure helmet has been designed to maintain peak performance in every environment, without compromising the core values of a long distance touring helmet.

Upgrades on the Hornet ADV include:

VISOR

The Hornet ADVENTURES’s all-new V-460 visor was honed to perfection during countless development hours in SHOEI’s wind tunnel and on the road to create
the perfect balance between aerodynamics and traditional visor functionality. The innovative “wedge” shape along with strategically placed vent louvers allow wind to pass through unobstructed during high-speed riding, ultimately reducing lift and drag. Along with superior aerodynamic qualities, the V-460’s shape was strategically designed to push air into the Hornet ADV’s upper air intake for optimal cooling, all the while maintaining its fundamental purpose of providing sunshade and roost protection during off-road riding. Rounding out the V-460’s innovative features, easy-to-operate quarter-turn screws allow for quick removal and installation of the visor
without the need for special tools.

Along with the Hornet ADV’s large eye port, SHOEI’s all-new CNS-2 shield offers unparalleled vision across the entire optical range. In addition to protecting against 99% of the sun’s damaging UV rays, the CNS-2 shield offers a distortion-free view thanks to SHOEI’s 3D injection-molding process. Additionally, an innovative rib on the top edge of the shield improves rigidity and eliminates bending that may occur during opening and closing. Coupled with the all-new CNS-2 shield, the Hornet X2’s QR-N base plate system facilitates quick and efficient shield changes for easy adaptation during your journey. The strengthened springloaded base plates pull the shield back against the improved window beading to ensure a dust, wind and waterproof seal with each and every closure. A new shield locking mechanism rounds
out the Hornet ADV’s advanced shield system.

VENTILATION

A well-ventilated helmet is essential to dual-sport riding and the many challenges it can present thanks to varying speeds, weather conditions, and levels of physical exertion. During the design process of the Hornet X2, SHOEI utilized our state-of-the-art wind tunnel facility to help develop the optimal balance between airflow, silence, and functionality. The new Hornet ADV is equipped with a large, multi-position lower air intake, optimized for fresh air inhalation and clear vision, two shutter-controlled upper air vents for optimal air intake and head cooling, four uniquely-positioned rear exhaust outlets to take better advantage of negative pressure suction, and three neck outlet vents work together to yield unrivalled cool-air intake and hot-air exhaust.

INTERIOR

The Hornet ADV is equipped with SHOEI’s latest fully removable, washable, and replaceable 3D Max-Dry Interior System II. SHOEI’s exclusive Max-Dry System II liner material absorbs and dissipates sweat and moisture twice as fast as traditional Nylon interiors, making it ideal for those long days on the road or trail. The 3D center pad components are three-dimensionally shaped to match the contours of a rider’s head, allowing for an extremely comfortable fit while maintaining the firm hold necessary for distraction-free, high-speed riding. Additionally, the Hornet ADV’s 3D-shaped cheek pads are available in multiple thicknesses for a fully customizable fit.
The Hornet ADV also includes a removable breath guard, chin curtain, and removable ear pads to complete the comfort package

E.Q.R.S (Emergency Quick Release System)

Mechanical tabs disengage cheek pads for easy removal by emergency medical personnel. Helmet can be removed with minimum load to rider in emergency situations

Shipping Information:

FREIGHT COST:

- Orders below $50  = Freight is $14.95 (including GST Australia wide)

- Orders $50-$99      = Freight is $9.95(including GST Australia wide) (except bulky orders)

- Orders $99+            = Freight is FREE (including GST Australia wide) (except bulky orders)

- Bulky orders           = Freight is $29.95 (inc GST Australia wide). Examples: motow, ramps, bulk orders of more than nine items.
                                                                        Information is provided on each product page if the item has a freight charge.

Freight Rules:

Peter Stevens Motorcycles uses various freight providers depending on your location, but most orders are sent via Australia Post. 
We send most orders via Registered Post. Please contact us if you would like to know shipping times and postage upgrade costs. 

All orders require a signature upon delivery. If no-one is in attendance at time of delivery, the order will be diverted to the closest Australia Post outlet, or relevant courier depot.
WE DO NOT ALLOW PACKAGES TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED OR WITHOUT A SIGNATURE.

If paying with Paypal, we will only send to the address lodged with Paypal.

Your card or your Paypal will be charged at the time of purchase. 
Then we despatch web orders Monday through to Friday; we will make every effort to despatch your order within 2 working days whenever possible
(we can't ship or process orders on weekends or public holidays). All orders are despatched out of Melbourne.

Most orders are stored at our main warehouse and sent ASAP. However, due to the huge range of items and parts we offer to you,
individual products may be gathered from any of our 8 store locations, or 2 warehouses, to our main warehouse.
Then they are checked, packed, and shipped to you. Because of this, shipping times may be extended by 3-5 working days depending on the supply location of your item/s.

Australian External Territories will be considered International Orders and will have a freight charge applied equal to our freight cost to pack and send the item. (including Christmas Island and Cocos (Keeling) Islands)
In some instances your request to order may be declined where a prompt freight service cannot be offered. Any payments made will be refunded in full.
Due to the time frame for freight deliveries to these locations, no missing articles will be considered by Peter Stevens Motorcycles or the relevant shipping company before a minimum of 3 months from shipping date.

When you see the "FREE SHIPPING AUSTRALIA" image on a product page, there will be no freight charge for regular road post items. If you request an Express Post or air freight upgrade this will attract a fee equal to the increase in our postage cost.
This is applicable for all Australian customers except for External Territories

 

International Customers

For overseas customers freight is individually calculated for each order, dependant on location and weight. 
If you would like a quote please request a quote or submit your order and we will provide a quote for freight before charging your card. 
Freight is provided by Express Post International.
Peter Stevens Motorcycles is not responsible for any import duties or customs fees that may be applicable.
All prices are in Australian Dollars. Any currency conversion fees are the responsibility of the customer.
Please be aware when ordering that your country may have restrictions on importation of some items, ie leather goods.
Any information quoted for sizing or fitting is based on Australian delivered motorcycles and clothing.
No Genuine manufacturer-branded parts, accessories or merchandise can be sent internationally (ie Harley Davidson, Honda, Triumph branded items)

 

Order hasn't arrived?

If you have placed an order on our website you should have received a Tax Invoice via email to the email address you provided. On the Tax Invoice, you will find the shipping consignment number listed on the invoice along with the freight providers name. 

Please contact the freight providers directly with your consignment number for assistance with tracking your order.

The stock quantities displayed on this website are the combined stock of several stores. 
Online stock quantities are updated throughout the day, however in some situations stock may have sold out in store without removing availability online. We reserve the right to decline an order based on lack of stock availability, but we will always get in contact with you!
 
If you see an item on our site and would like to come in store and try it on please call the store first to confirm they have stock in your size. 
Not all of our stores stock all sizes.

Online Exchange and Returns Policy

Need a different size? The product wasn’t quite what you were after?

No problems request an exchange here and save $ with a flat-rate postage voucher! We will provide you with an RA number (Return authorisation number) and a label, so you can return your goods to us. Or you can contact one of our friendly staff, and they will provide you with assistance in getting back your items for an exchange and provide you with an RA number. Please include the provided RA number in your return parcel to help us identify the return.

Once the exchange item/s have been received and checked by our friendly online team (We try to process all returns within 1 business day but at times this may take longer), your replacement order will then be posted out at no extra expense to you.

Terms and conditions:
*The item must be in the condition sold to you, un-used and with tags attached (where applicable). Item/s for exchange must be brand new, never-installed/used, and with full undamaged packaging. Please do not place return labels directly onto the manufacturer’s original packaging. 

Special ordered items:
A special order is defined as an order of a product that is not visible on our website and not part of our standard product catalogue. Special ordered spare parts, and/or electronics, cannot be returned unless faulty or not-as-described (no return due to change of mind, wrong fitment or incorrect installation).

Please see the list below for things to avoid to ensure your return is accepted:
• Please do not place return label directly onto the manufacturer’s original packaging. 
• When trying on boots, please do not stand on your foot pegs as some sharp pegs can mark/damage boot soles, and your return/exchange might not be accepted. 
• Please ensure all returned apparel items are free from marks, stains and rips as they may not be accepted for return if received damaged (unless faulty). 
• Due to health & hygiene regulations, we are unable to accept returns on any undergarments unless faulty.

Peter Stevens MUST authorise all returns before any goods can be returned. Please either purchase a return label or call/email one of our helpful staff and they will provide you with an RA (Return Authorisation) number to accompany your return items. Please include the provided RA number in your return parcel to help us identify the return. We try to process all returns within 1 business day but at times this may take longer. If your refund is approved, the amount will be refunded back to your original payment method. This can take up to 2 business days after approval to process back to your account.

Any return that is not in an acceptable condition will be sent back at the expense of the customer. Please ensure all items are in a new & resaleable condition to avoid your return being rejected.

Faulty Items

Please contact our customer service team before sending back any faulty items to be refunded, repaired or replaced. If you choose to email our team regarding faulty products please attached images of the fault so our team can assess the item before an RA is approved. 

If the item is deemed to be faulty, a pre-paid freight return label will be sent to cover the freight costs of the return. Faulty items may be returned outside of the regular returns time frames providing the item is still under warranty. Please contact our friendly customer service for warranty periods.

We try to process all returns within 1 business day of receiving, but at times this may take longer. If a refund is approved, the amount will be refunded back to your original payment method. This can take up to 2 business days after the approval to process back to your account.

Please note, some faults must be approved by the manufacturer before a refund or replacement can be issued. In this case, we will keep you informed on a regular basis via email updates.
