    Mid-range monster

    The RM-Z250s engine has been refined so mid-range power and torque is enhanced while maximum power is maintained. Power delivery is smoother and linear for easier control. 

    S-HAC

    Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC) is a selectable launch mode system derived straight from factory race bikes. S-HAC helps the rider in launching from starting gate for an early lead. S-HAC has two selectable modes so riders can choose the best option for the conditions and their skill level.

    Three-stage control

    Designed for ease of use and maximum control of power to the ground, S-HAC lets you match the engines power delivery to the starting conditions. A new, three-stage version of S-HAC fitted to the RM-Z250 adjusts the ignition map for the initial moment of launch, then re-adjusts timing for the time the motorcycle moves through the starting gate area, then another adjustment is applied during the longer primary acceleration period. 

    KYB PSF2 front fork

    New design KYB PSF2 Pneumatic Spring front fork uses air chambers in place of steel springs for lightweight, easy adjustability, improved damper performance and smooth action from low friction. Riders can adjust both air forks with one balanced air pressure setting from a hand-pump. Compression damping is adjustable while rebound damping force is both high- and low-speed adjustable.

    New KYB rear shock

    Latest design KYB rear shock absorber is connected link style to the swingarm via re-shaped cushion rods and spacers. The nitrogen-charged, piggyback style shock features a new top-mounted integral adjuster system for easy adjustment of the high- and low-speed rebound and high- and low-speed compression damping force adjusters. Spring preload can be precisely tuned via a threaded collar on the main shock body.

    Factory developed piston

    The latest piston design receives shot-peening surface treatment for greater durability. The piston pin is now DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coated, for less friction and greater durability. New L-shaped type piston ring increases sealing performance and reduces blow-by gas. All these changes contribute to increased durability and wider range of power.
     

    Race-Spec Cams

    The latest intake and exhaust camshaft specification delivers a wider range of engine performance. The redesigned decompression system on the latest generation RM-Z250 allows for even easier starting.

    Hi-Comp intake valves

    Intake valves have been redesigned to increase compression ratio and increase intake efficiency. Compression ratio is increased from 13.5:1 to 13.75:1.

    Slippery cam chain tensioner

    Redesigned Cam Chain tensioner reduces friction and increases durability, while a new adjuster has a greater range of tension to reduce drag

    Renthal Aluminium Fatbar

    Fitted as standard equipment , the top-shelf Renthal aluminium Fatbar offers more strength and less vibration than standard size aluminium handlebars.

    Rich & Lean Fuel Couplers

    Riders can adjust the engine performance to suit varied track conditions. By plugging in either of two additional fuel-setting couplers, riders can opt for a richer-than-stock or leaner-than-stock fuel setting to make the most of any riding conditions. Included with the bike, these couplers can be easily plugged in trackside.

    Suzuki RM-Z450 2018

    Hooked up

    In motocross, youve got to get instantly hooked up both out of the gate and off the corners and also blisteringly fast down the straights. To give riders an even stronger winning balance, the redesigned 2018 RM-Z450 engine has more low-end torque, a flatter overall torque curve, faster and yet more controllable throttle response, and more peak power. Inside the airbox, the air-filter aperture is now 30-percent larger for enhanced airflow, and an MXGP-style mudguard helps keep mud and dirt out, contributing to greater engine durability. The outlet tube leading from the airbox to the fuel-injection throttle body is also straighter, reducing intake resistance for increased power across the rev range.

    Power Everywhere

    The fuel-injector spray path now aims fuel upward to hit the throttle butterfly valve directly for improved atomisation. Inside the intake port, the shape is updated for improved tumble flow of the charge as it enters the cylinder, boosting power at all engine speeds. The intake-port shape is matched to a new high-lift intake-cam profile, which further improves intake efficiency and engine output. Inside the combustion chamber, a new piston-rib design adds strength and durability to match the engines higher output. While an updated muffler conforms to the latest
    sound-control regulations.

    Get a Good Start

    Watch any raceday motocross interview, and youll invariably hear get a good start cited as a must-do proposition. And getting holeshots is exactly what the latest version of the Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC) is all about. An integral part of the 2018 RM-Z450s electronics package, the updated 3-stage S-HAC system assesses throttle position and gear selection, and then adjusts ignition timing to optimise engine output for fast launches.

    Revised S-HAC

    The latest version of S-HAC included on the new RM-Z450 gives riders a choice of three settings which can be quickly selected via a handlebar-mounted switch. The A mode is programmed for hard surfaces, such as a concrete starting pad, clay or hard-packed dirt where controlling wheelspin is crucial to good starts. For 2018, the A mode algorithms are updated to provide even finer control as the throttle is being opened, giving the rider an even better feel for traction in the crucial initial moments of a launch. The B mode is for normal dirt conditions. Riders can also select the Off setting to retain standard ignition timing.

    Maximum Traction

    The new RM-Z450s electronic systems work seamlessly with the rider to get the power to the ground. To maximise traction for conditions, the engine control module (ECM) automatically adjusts ignition timing and fuel injection based on throttle position, engine speed and gear position. The first RM-Z450 traction management system debuted for 2008, and a revised second -generation system arrived for 2013. Now in the 2018 RM-Z450s third-generation traction management system, a revised ECU has fully 1.6-times faster data processing and 2.5-times more memory capacity than the first-generation system.

    Next generation chassis

    Lighter, more rigid and more agile, the 2018 Suzuki RM-Z450 gives riders sharper handling, better feel and more control than ever. Its all-new lightweight frame, swingarm significantly improve turning performance, whether youre railing a berm or diving into the inside line. The head pipe point is relocated 10mm back, resulting in a shorter, 1,480mm wheelbase while the weight distribution forward for agility and stability. Frame advancements include a more rectangular cross-section for the main spars, improved fore-aft rigidity and optimised overall rigidity, together with a 700g weight reduction. All of which directly increase cornering, shock-absorbing ability and handling stability. Swingarm upgrades include thinner materials for a 100g weight reduction and optimised rigidity, which translates to increase cornering and stability.

    49mm Showa Spring Fork

    All-new Showa front and rear suspension delivers improved responsiveness and terrain following, enhanced ability to absorb forces, better chassis stability, feedback and terrain feel, and improved comfort. Up front, an updated 49mm Showa coil-spring fork based on works A-type design replaces the SFF-Air fork of the previous-generation RM-Z450. Performance has been increased significantly and offers more consistent feeling throughout a moto. Machine set-up and daily maintenance is also easier for a wide range of riders. The upper triple-clamp is also lighter with optimised dimensions.

    Showa Balance Free Rear Cushion (BFRC)

    The 2018 RM-Z450 is the first production motocross bike to feature the BFRC shock as standard equipment. The new shock shares technology with the all-new 2018 GSX-R1000R sportsbike. The design balances pressure above and below the piston to better control the stroke and smooth out reactions to bumps and chop, even under severe braking.

    Factory Styling

    The 2018 RM-Z450 has a fresh new look that enhances Suzukis already distinctive design theme. The evolution starts with aggressive Beak DNA which projects a dynamic arrow form extending from the front fender through the radiator shrouds. Finished in Suzuki yellow with new team graphics and logos, the most potent RM-Z450 yet is recognisable at a glance. The styling refresh also extends to the seat shape, which makes moving between seated and standing positions easier, as well as shifting weight front or rear. And for racers, easier is always faster!

    New Rims and Rubber

    Lighter wheel rims and new Bridgestone Battlecross X30 tyres maximise grip for improved agility and control in a wide range of track conditions. Finished in durable black for a factory look, the new rims have an optimised cross section, which maintains strength while also reducing critical rotating mass by 70g total. A larger 270mm wave disc up-front improves stopping performance.

    Suzuki Hayabusa 2018

    A legendary inline-four power plant

    The Hayabusa's muscular 1340cc in-line four-cylinder engine delivers a broad wave of torque for effortless acceleration. Its advanced design boasts liquid-cooling, ram-air downdraft induction producing 145kW (195hp) @ 9,500rpm with 155Nm of torque @ 7,200rpm.

    Forged pistons and PVD-coated rings

    Forged three-ring aluminum-alloy slipper pistons provide superior strength. The oil control ring on each piston is electro-plated with a chrome-nitride coating applied in a vacuum chamber using a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) system. The chrome nitride PVD coating is harder and smoother than conventional chrome plating, reducing friction while improving cylinder sealing. The upper piston ring also features an L-shaped cross-section, with combustion pressure pushing the ring tighter against the cylinder wall to further reduce blowby and increase the force actually pushing the piston down.

    Suzuki Drive Mode Selector

    The Hayabusa features the unique Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) system, which allows the rider to select one of three engine control maps. The system allows the rider to select a different map to suit personal preferences in various riding conditions, such as choosing one map for highway cruising and another map for tighter roads.

    Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve

    The Hayabusa engine is fitted with tapered, 44mm double-barrel Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) throttle bodies. Unlike conventional fuel-injection systems, the SDTV system has two butterfly valves in each throttle body barrel. The rider controls the primary valve via a throttle grip, and the engine management system automatically controls the secondary valve, opening it incrementally to maintain optimum intake charge velocity based on engine rpm, gear position and primary valve opening. This precise, carefully controlled system improves combustion efficiency and makes throttle response feel more natural to the rider.

    Slice through the wind

    The Hayabusa design perfectly merges motorcycle and rider. Carefully sculpted bodywork tames the wind to maximise the more-than-ample power of the Hayabusa engine. Extensive wind tunnel testing with a rider onboard helped to find the ultimate shape for high-speed riding. The radical aerodynamic styling and smoother bodywork not only gives the Hayabusa its unique look but also protects the rider from the wind and improves fuel efficiency.

    Brembo Monobloc front brake callipers

    Lighter and more rigid than conventional bolt-together callipers, the Hayabusa's top-of-the-line radial-mount Brembo Monobloc front brake callipers deliver better feedback to the rider. The piston diameters were enlarged from 32-30mm to 32-32mm. Larger pistons help apply greater force to the brake disc, which results in increased initial bite and a more controlled feeling.

    Lightweight, high-performance ABS

    A new, standard equipment Antilock Brake System (ABS) unit features a lightweight, compact design. The ABS enhances brake performance by helping prevent, to a certain extent, wheel locking due to changes in road conditions or excessive braking, by matching stopping power to available traction.

    Note: The ABS is a supplemental device for brake operation, not a device for shortening stopping distance. Always remember to
    reduce speed sufficiently before approaching curves.

    Inverted cartridge front forks

    KYB inverted cartridge forks feature a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating surface treatment on the 43mm stanchion tubes to reduce friction and increase reaction to small surface irregularities. The forks provide front wheel travel of 120mm. Spring preload, compression damping and rebound damping are fully adjustable.

    Titanium Valves

    Lightweight titanium valves allow the use of light valve springs and high lift while maintaining accurate valve control. 

    Iridium Spark Plugs

    An individual coil built into each spark plug cap and spark plugs with finer, Iridium-alloy electrodes produce a hotter spark and more complete combustion; the Iridium-alloy spark plugs have double the service life of conventional spark plugs.

    Ready for takeoff

    The Hayabusas instrument cluster features a set of four round analog gauges, including step-motor-driven tachometer and speedometer, fuel meter and coolant temperature meter. LEDs are used for a programmable engine-rpm indicator, a low fuel level warning light, a neutral indicator light, turn-signal indicator lights, a high-beam indicator light, a high coolant temperature warning light, a low oil pressure warning light and a fuel injection system warning light. A round, centered LCD information panel includes clock, gear position indicator, S-DMS map indicator, odometer and dual trip meter displays

    Bridgestone tyres and rear brake

    Hayabusa is equipped with the Bridgestone BT-015, which is specially developed for the motorcycle. The tire's profile and compound were developed through a variety of testing to achieve a high level of stability and handling. A single-piston, pin-slide TOKICO rear brake calliper works with newly equipped ABS. The rear disc is 260mm in diameter and 5.5mm thick.

    FEATURES

    • Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material (SCEM) cylinder plating improves heat transfer, durability and ring seal.
    • Curved radiator with a compact, dense-core design and engine-management-computer-controlled two ring-type electric fans mounted on the rear of the radiator, increasing the control accuracy and keeping engine temperature stable.
    • An optimised 6-speed transmission features oil spray to the 4th, 5th, and 6th gears to reduce wear and mechanical noise during highway cruising.
    • Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) serves as a back-torque-limiting system for smooth downshifts and also contributes to a light clutch pull.
    • A lightweight and rigid twin-spar aluminium frame minimise weight while maintaining high torsional strength.
    • A bridged aluminium alloy swingarm features a cross-sectional shape for increased rigidity, which also helps cope with improved rear tire grip and increased engine output. The Hayabusa's fully adjustable rear shock absorber has a 43mm piston and 14mm rod diameter.
    • Vertically stacked twin headlights provide increased light intensity, improved light distribution and match the elegant flow of the Hayabusa styling.

    Huge pistons

    Huge 112 mm (4.4 in) forged aluminium-alloy pistons with short skirts, and cut away sides riding on chrome moly steel connecting rods providing the class-leading torque and horsepower that give the M109R such a powerful ride on the highway.     Massive 240mm rear tyre

    Suzuki V-Strom 1000XT 2018

    Irresistible Power

    The powerful and versatile 90-degree DOHC V-twin originated as a 996cm3 unit and underwent a major rebuild changing various components and rising the capacity to 1037cm3 in 2014, further maturing this attractive engine to match the demands of a sports adventure tourer. The strong, rider-friendly nature of this V-twin engine gives effortless acceleration irrelevant to the riding situation or the presence of a pillion rider. The 74kW (101ps) maximum output at 8,000rpm will promise the rider with an exciting riding experience, while with the optimally weighted magneto and flywheel helps to produce a thick layer of torque of 101Nm as low as 4,000rpm, resulting in a tremendously usable character allowing the rider to always have the required output and not needing to downshift when overtaking on motorways. Furthermore, the engines advanced electronic control systems and the attempt to reduce various mechanical losses, achieve a low fuel consumption. Inheriting these characters from the previous model the unit is now Euro4 standard without missing any of its appeals resulting in cleaner performance.

    Advanced Traction Control System

    Inheriting the favoured traction control system from the previous model this system enables the rider to control the throttle with more confidence in difficult riding situations such as gravel roads, two-up riding or with a heavy load to minimise the stress and/or fatigue on long distance rides. The traction control system continuously monitors the front and rear wheel speeds, throttle position, crank position, and gear position with various sensors, and controls the engine output by managing the ignition timing and air delivery. The traction control system can be switched to either of two modes or off. Modes 1 and 2 differ in the timing and levels of intervention. Mode 1 has a lower level of intervention applied at a later timing allowing a certain degree of rear wheelspin, not to interrupt a sporty ride. Mode 2 has a higher level of intervention applied at an instant, controlling and preventing the slightest amount of spin, more actively supporting the rider in situations such as in the rain or on slippery road surfaces. The choice can be quickly and easily made by selecting the traction control mode from the left switch cluster and confirming it with a glance at the instruments.

    New Generation ABS taking it to the Next Level

    The radial-mounted four-piston mono-block Tokico brake callipers and twin 310mm diameter discs on the front, and a 260mm diameter single disc with a single piston calliper on the rear provide strong and controllable braking performance. The Bosch ABS system has been upgraded to the Motion Track Brake System by installing a 5-Axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), and by combining the information of the posture of the vehicle with the front and rear wheel speeds, realising optimal vehicle stability not only in straight-line braking but also when braking while cornering. This new sophisticated system instantly assesses the need of ABS appliance when the lever or pedal is operated by calculating the posture of the vehicle and wheel speeds. When judging the need of appliance, the ABS unit will decrease in braking pressure and will continue to control the increase/decrease of braking pressure at an advanced level according to the traction available. With advanced ABS control, appliance of the ABS is smooth with minimum kickback to the pedal/lever resulting in a stress and panic free ride. Also, a new feature is the Combination Brake which automatically applies pressure to the rear brake when the front brake pressure rises to a certain pressure. This technology, combined with the Motion Track Brake System, will support the rider to trace the intended line to a certain extent in situations such as sudden/excessive braking in corners, efficiently reducing the speed and stabilising the vehicle even when at various lean angles.

    Feel the Desert

    By adding the new design concept Tough Gear to the existing Wild and Smart, the new V-Strom 1000 sports an updated look, mainly in the upper cowling, in kin to its 645cm3 brother bringing the V-Strom family together. Suzuki's original Beak style has been further emphasised by making it a straight line from the tip to the top of the tank, expressing the DNA from the DR-BIG and the desert racer DR-Z. The heritage and history of Suzuki's adventure models are further expressed, giving the owners pride of ownership. The newly designed double stitched seat has a sense of quality, and the tandem area is parallel with the rear carrier providing a large flat space to strap large baggage when needed securely. 

    Newly Designed Windscreen

    The larger windscreen on the new V-Strom 1000 inherits the ratchet-gear mechanism allowing the rider to choose from three angles easily. No tools are necessary, and the ideal position can be selected by simply pushing the windscreen by one hand, even with gloves on. The height of the screen can also be set to three preset positions using four bolts. The screen has been newly designed 49mm taller and with a smaller curve on the tip section, resulting in less wind blast, turbulence, noise to the helmet, and a clearer view. Also, the new windscreen has improved the wind buffering to the body of the rider, altogether providing the next level of comfort.

    Hand Guards as Standard Fitment

    Reducing the wind blast to the hands of the rider and providing comfort especially in the rain or cold weather, the once optional Genuine Hand Guards are now standard to support harsh riding conditions. Comfort and accurate control can be further improved by installing the optional Grip Heaters for long distance rides in severe conditions. The digital section below displays the odometer, twin-trip meter, clock, fuel level, coolant temperature, ambient temperature, battery voltage, range on remaining fuel, average and instantaneous fuel consumptions, and traction-control modes. Plus, instantly recognisable LEDs provide freeze, high-beam, neutral, fuel-injection, ABS, Traction Control mode, and water-temperature indicators. All of this information is accessible from the left handlebar switch, where it is now also possible to reset the trip meter.

    The seat provides luxurious comfort for both the rider and the tandem rider, combined with a sense of controllability for sporty riding by designing the section connecting to the fuel tank slim for a better hold. The height of the seat is kept low and provides ease of reaching the ground and giving the rider a sense of reassurance. The newly designed double stitch and SUZUKI logo give the seat a sense of quality, while the side of the seat provides a high level of grip by using same materials as the competition RM-Z motocross models.

    Suzuki Clutch Assist System

    Equipped with the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS), the clutch acts as a slipper clutch system when changing down rapidly, while always providing light use of the lever. SCAS is an advanced clutch system supporting both sporty riding and less fatigue on long rides.

    Low RPM Assist

    By adopting the new Low RPM assist system, the concern of an unexpected engine stall has been relieved. This system will automatically raise the idle speed when releasing the clutch or when riding at low rpms, assisting frequent clutch work in congested town rides and preventing sudden engine stall sometimes known to happen when running large capacity twins in the low rpm range.

    Suzuki Easy Start System

    Conventional starter switches needed to be pressed by the rider until the engine starts, but the new V-Strom 1000 ABS has adopted the Suzuki Easy Start System enabling the engine to start with one push of the button. A computerised ECM checks the status and disengages the starter motor immediately after the engine fires to life.

    Adjustable suspension and 10 spoke cast aluminium wheels

    19-inch front wheel and 17 on the rear provides a premium balance of stability and nimbleness to cope well with all riding situations. The V-Strom 1000 ABS inherits the light weight 10 spoke aluminium cast wheels. Black-anodised 43mm inverted front forks and a dial-adjustable rear shock absorber help to ensure great road holding and a smooth, comfortable ride even with a passenger and a full complement of luggage. Both front and rear suspensions are fully adjustable enabling the rider to maximise the feel to match any situation.

    Comfortable and Forgiving Riding Position

    The upright and relaxing riding position will fit any terrain or adventure, and most individual riders. Not just comfortable but giving the rider the sense of confident control shall support various riding from towns to long-distant adventure touring. The longer the ride becomes the rider shall notice the lack of fatigue and the excellence will become obvious.

    Performance-Enhancing Electrics

    The open-type rectifier disconnects the magneto when it is not generating electricity to reduce mechanical losses, resulting in stronger torque at low and mid-range engine speeds. Plus, a 32-bit engine control module gives precise engine management, so it enhances fuel economy and allows more linear throttle response.

    Cleaner Performance

    The unique Suzuki Exhaust Tuning (SET) system uses a butterfly valve in the exhaust pipe to optimise the exhaust pressure for running conditions, thereby boosting torque at low revs (a benefit for acceleration) and enhancing throttle response. To meet the Euro4 standards there are now two catalysers positioned in a tandem configuration achieving an effective level of emission control, resulting in the engine to be Euro4 standard while being as attractive as ever.

    Light and Easy

    With a unique capacity of 1037cm3, the V-Strom 1000 has achieved an optimum balance of plentiful power and a light weight character. The light weight contributes to the ease of maneuverability and a sportier ride while also supporting low fuel consumption. Touring with 1200cm3-class adventure models will make the rider realise not only that the V-Strom 1000 has no difficulty managing the pace, but also the advantages of its light weight character.

    Optimally balanced Twin-Spar Aluminium Frame

    The V-Strom 1000 is built on a slim, twin-spar aluminium-alloy frame, providing a smooth ride, and a sporty riding experience when pushed hard, and also contributing to fuel economy thanks to its light weight structure. The aluminium swingarm is set to a length to provide straight-line stability and cornering stability at a high level.     Load Up and Be Prepared

    With the reputation for its long-distance touring performance sometimes even tandem riding, the optional integrated three-luggage system is an important option to heighten the attraction of the V-Strom 1000. The rear section of the bodywork was designed to accommodate this integrated three-luggage system. Also with the cases, all fitted close to the centre of gravity of the body, even when fully loaded, the effect on handling is minimum, contributing to stress-free handling and stability.     Wide Range of Accessories

    Most appreciative in the cold seasons of riding or in the rain, the Grip Heaters have undergone a model change. The new type has a thinner grip and is almost identical to the standard grips making it feel natural even when not using them. Also, the switch is built into the left-hand grip making the device compact and easier to fit, while the hot wire inside the grip has been positioned all-round the grip, providing a more effective heating efficiency.     The three-mode traction control system

It quickly reduces engine output by effecting control over the ignition timing whenever it detects wheelspin. It monitors the wheel speeds 50 times per wheel rotation and matches stopping power to the available traction. The ABS control unit has a compact, lightweight design that helps make the bike nimble. Brake hose has been updated for MY18 to improve initial stopping performance and feeling.

    Naked aggression in an all-new form

    The GSX-S1000 is designed to look wild, rugged, and aggressive and to keep the rider comfortable at all times. The bikes overall shape evokes a crouching beast. LED position lights are shaped to represent its fangs. And a combination of black plastics and painted parts emphasises the bikes assertive, sporty personality.

    A comprehensive instrument cluster

    The instrument cluster takes the form of a lightweight, brightness-adjustable LCD. Readouts include speedometer, tachometer, odometer, dual tripmeters, gear position, coolant temperature, driving range, average fuel consumption, instantaneous fuel consumption, traction control, and a clock. A white backlight gives great nighttime visibility. The display is flanked by LED indicators for the turn signals, high beam, malfunction, ABS, traction control, coolant temperature, and oil pressure.

    Plush ride

    Newly specified 43mm KYB inverted front forks give a ride that is sporty yet plush. They have fully adjustable damping, rebound, compression and spring preload. A single KYB rear shock features adjustable rebound damping and spring pre-load. 

    Suzuki Easy Start System

    New one-push, push-start system where the clutch does not need to be engaged when the gear is in neutral.
