The overall geometry of the KTM 890 SMT was developed for sharphandling, and comfort when attacking the mountain passes- withunchallenged hillclimb capability. Strength was a big consideration inthe design, so a tubular Chromoly steel frame is used with the engineacting as a stressed member to reduce weight and overall size.Additionally, the compact frame allows for a long swingarm whichimproves traction without compromise handling.

The KTM 890 SMThas a double fender design, composed of a high front fender - thattakes inspiration from the KTM 450 SMR - and a lower splash guardwhich is connected to the fork leg protectors. This, along withspoilers and rear side panels that are slightly wider than the seatfor improved control and to reduce wear and tear on the seat, andin-mold graphics for further durability, make the KTM 890 SMT readyfor anything.
