2011 Model RM-Z450
The 2011 model RM-Z450 is now available in Australia, but this one’s essentially just a carry-over of the 2010 hardware.
But that’s not necessarily a negative, as the current model 450 is still a serious contender in the world and a plethora of domestic championships around the world, including the Australian title where Cody Cooper dominated the recent round in Wodonga (Vic).
The 2010 model came out with a horde of major updates, including a new cylinder head, piston, crankshaft, throttle body, camshafts, valve springs and radiator.
And it continued: a new, more rigid, twin-spar aluminium frame, as well as a fresh subframe, linkage and swingarm tracking on fully adjustable Showa suspension with revised spring and damping settings.
Competitors who compete on the RM-Z in motocross and/or supercross are also eligible to register for Suzuki’s Support Rider program, offering contingency payments on selected national and state race series. More information on that is available at www.suzuki.com.au.
The 2011 RM-Z450 costs $11,590, available in Suzuki’s traditional champion yellow/black livery.
