Peter Stevens Motorcycles is a company owned by the Chiodo brothers; Steve and Vincent.

Their father, Tony Chiodo, arrived in Australia from Italy in 1929, and built a successful wine business in North Melbourne by giving every customer the highest level of service. Steve worked with his father in the family wine business before starting on his own.

This 'shopkeeper' approach of welcoming every customer with prompt and courteous attention was the backbone of Tony Chiodo's success, and is the backbone of Peter Stevens' approach and success.

Amongst the notable achievements in the last 30 years has been the success with the Triumph marque, shown by the Australian market share during the '70s of 6.5 percent overall (not just the 750cc and above market) as the last Norton/Triumph distributor for the old Meriden factory. The significance of this figure is clear when compared to the market share in England (4.4 percent) and America (2.6 percent). 

As a result of this, Peter Stevens is the only company to distribute for both the Meriden and Hinckley factories.

Harley-Davidson is another success story. Milestones with H-D are establishing the first HOG Chapters outside North America, separating the retail of bikes into the specific Harley Heaven stores, and setting up distribution for South Australia and the Northern Territory.
